Charter.hr is a website with a set of tools, information and guidelines, as well as various resources dedicated to the successful operation of nautical charter companies in Croatia.
Since there was no single website in Croatia until now where charter companies could find all the relevant information essential for their business, the idea of starting such a site was logical.
Behind the whole idea stands Selma Čmelik, a B.Sc. tourism communicator with many years of experience working directly in the charter, but also with a successful business story in Zona Plus, a digital marketing agency.
As a former charter employee, I know how challenging it is sometimes to get relevant information related to business. In particular, this referred to tax and legislative guidelines. Then the development of digital gave more and more opportunities, but almost nothing was dedicated to the charter industry. We have always had to compare ourselves to the hotel industry, and that is by no means the right solution. We also depended on selecting individual service providers to present their solutions to us. It was not possible, except at specialised trade fairs, to find more than one choice of appropriate solutions we needed in one place. Today, it is possible to achieve this with a project like this, and I hope that the charter companies will benefit from this project in multiple ways
It is important to note that the platform was created through several months of preparation and discussions with people employed in charter companies, examining their real needs and expectations.
